Ubisoft’s Child of Light gets a new trailer – Flythrough the world of Lemuria [VIDEO]

As someone who generally finds himself a little more than disinterested in todays installments within the genre of 2D Platformers, Ubisoft’s Child of Light has done an incredible job at peaking my interest. Maybe its the (adorable!) female protagonist, the art design, the mysteriously bewitching and threatening environments, or maybe its the fact that the game establishes a unique fantasy and can stand on its own merits, instead of relying on the lore derived from the genre-defining works of authors like Tolkien.

That being said, Child of Light is still a platformer, so I’m yet to be 100% sold, but if the title turns out to have stable gameplay, this title will probably find its way into my library. I found myself purchasing of Alice: Madness Returns, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning solely because of their art design, so its likely that Child of Light will find its way onto my shelf.
