Tired of running into that invisible wall on the edge of a seemingly-infinate ocean? Well fret not, because it’ll be a little harder to find it on Minecraft: Xbox One Edition.
Granted, due to the static-nature of console hardware, “infinite” was always going to be a bit of a stretch, but even on upgradable rigs the PC version of the game isn’t technically infinite either, as documented by a man who has spent the past three years attempting to reach the “Far Lands.” Such an end does actually exist, but reaching it is so unlikely that the game can reasonably be called “infinite” without it actually affecting anything other than marketing.
Hopefully “a lot bigger” implies that it won’t take 3 to 4 hours of adventuring (or 3 to 4 minutes of creative-mode flying) to map the boarder of your world, but even if it’s only twice as large, that’s a step in the right direction. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see how much better “a lot bigger” actually is.
