Microsoft announced today that the Xbox One will ship with its own dedicated YouTube app. Like most software for the console, the app will feature gesture support and voice recognition. These features can be launched by saying “YouTube” followed by an applicable phrase like pause, play or fast-forward.
In addition to token Kinect features, the Xbox One YouTube app is equipped with specific categories like Sports and Music. Now before you start planning playlists to watch on your big screen, there’s a small caveat. The app will be available in markets that support YouTube and Xbox One with Austria, Ireland and New Zealand following soon after the console’s launch.
