Today, Microsoft released a new Xbox One Smartglass app for Android, iOS and Windows. Like its predecessor for the Xbox 360, this newly minted companion app brings the second experience to any compatible device. Once synced with your console, you can use your smartphone or tablet to control your set top box, message friends, track achievements, pin content and manage clips from your Game DVR.

If that’s not enough, Xbox One Smartglass also moonlights as companion app for games, TV shows, sports, music and movies. This includes media guides, behind the scenes movie commentaries and onscreen interactive play with select games.
