Xbox One, more like Xbox won. According to research firm InfoScout, the Xbox One was the most popular video game console on Black Friday. A report from the number crunching group states that between Target and Walmart sales, the system pulled down a 31 percent share in spite of it being the most expensive option among gaming’s big three.
Closely behind in second place was the Xbox 360, which grabbed a 30 percent share during the Black Friday chaos. If you’re wondering how the PS4 and Wii U performed, Sony’s new rig came in fourth place (slightly behind PS3) with a share of 15 percent, while Nintendo’s console rounded things out in fifth place with a modest 6 percent share.
While these numbers are definitely good for the Xbox One, it’s far too early to tell what the end of the console war will look like when these three systems are on their way out.
