If you’re still pillaging and plundering the world of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, you’ll want to be sure to wrap things up by summertime, because a new adventure is on the way. Today, Ubisoft released a teaser trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Unity, which is set to release this holiday, and yes it’s coming to the Xbox One.
The short video runs just over one minute long, with most of it being dedicated to Ubisoft’s intro. Listed as alpha game footage, the trailer starts at an empty room with the camera slowly panning through a city with an ominous bell gonging in the background. As the sound of a noisy crowd starts to pick up, the camera stops at a shrouded assassin standing on a rooftop, observing the ongoing events. An execution is taking place and as the crowd comes to order, a large guillotine blade drops towards its unfortunate target.
From the looks of things, the game could be taking place during the French Revolution where King Louis XVI (possibly our victim) was executed by guillotine.
