Sunset Overdrive, the exclusive third-person shooter from Insomniac Games, had a new trailer and gameplay shown off during Microsoft’s E3 2014 press conference. The trailer in particular took pride in its ability to shatter the fourth wall with the game’s main character, voiced by Yuri Lowenthal, talks to the viewers watching the video while destroying some of the world’s monsters.

Insomniac stopped on stage to demo some of the game in the world of Sunset Overdrive. The gameplay showed a lot of destruction as well as the quick traversal system using wires, poles, and anything else that Insomniac has built.

Additionally, Chaos Squad, the game’s 8-player coop mode was officially announced. In this game mode, players will earn and share loot to save the Sunset Overdrive world.

Insomniac ended their appearance by announcing the official release date: October 28, 2014. It’s safe to say that October will be a jam-packed month for gamers.
