Phil Spencer talks news – Says more is coming before E3

Phil Spencer Interview
If you thought that Microsoft was done with their pre-E3 announcements, think again. In a recent twitter correspondence, Phil Spencer took the liberty of clarifying why all these announcements have been happening, as well as the fact that they will continue.

So Microsoft is gearing up for their E3 show and is going ahead and getting the big headlines out of the way to make sure that the conference news – probably game related – really stands out. The Xbox conference is titled “Xbox: Game On” after all, so a bunch of hardware announcements wouldn’t exactly fit in with a software-oriented show.

Additionally, in a separate conversation, Spencer was asked whether or not the recent leaks (probably referring to the Halo: The Master Chief Collection leak) would render Microsoft’s conference somewhat predictable.

Short, but it gets the point across. Whether or not you read into Phil’s addressing the question as a testament to the recent leak’s credibility is up to you.

It looks like we have more to look forward to, both pre-E3 and on the stage itself. Last year, the main thing that gave Sony a leg-up was their price point, and since Microsoft has leveled that playing field, it comes down to what it always should have – games.
