A recent Twitter exchange between Phil Spencer, Game Informer and an excited fan hinted that several beloved Xbox franchises might be returning to the console space on the Xbox One.

Game Informer tweeted out a top ten franchises they’d like to see make their way to Xbox One, and it was quickly directed to Phil Spencer. The Microsoft exec addressed the list, saying “we might do ok over this generation checking off some of these.” He went on to say that he was surprised that the Gears of War franchise didn’t make the list.

It’s no secret that Microsoft is thinking about revisiting some of its legacy franchises, however Spencer’s reply helps us get a better idea of what we might see if Microsoft ever decides to pull the trigger.
