It’s just been revealed that Microsoft is going to be rebooting Phantom Dust for the Xbox One. If you’re not in the know, Phantom Dust was an action strategy game that utilized collectible cards that could be used to give your character new skills and abilities in combat. It was a cult classic more than anything else, and never really blossomed into a long-standing franchise.

But Microsoft is changing all of that. The trailer they used to reveal the new exclusive didn’t show much in the way of gameplay, nor do we know if the game will incorporate all the same gameplay elements as the original. The game is being built by the same team that is responsible or the Killer Instinct reboot, and if that title’s success is anything to go by it sure looks like it’s in good hands.
