We weren’t quite sure what to expect from Mortal Kombat X when it was unveiled a couple of weeks ago, but those answers were answered during Sony’s E3 press conference last night where Warner Bros. revealed one of the very first gameplay trailers. Up first was a classic bout between rivals Subzero and Scorpion, and it was brutally awesome.

The trailer then led into some action between newcomers to the series, and it was all capped off by one of the most brutal fatality finishers we’ve ever seen in a Mortal Kombat game. It’s looking good so far, though we have a bit of ways to go before we hit that unknown 2015 release date. Be sure to take it all in above.
