Microsoft reported record breaking earnings today for the company’s second quarter, raking in $24.52 billion in net revenue and $6.56 billion in net income. During this period, the company sold 3.9 million Xbox Ones and 3.5 million Xbox 360s to retail.
“Our Commercial segment continues to outpace the overall market, and our Devices and Consumer segment had a great holiday quarter,” said Steve Ballmer, chief executive officer at Microsoft, in a press release. “The investments we are making in devices and services that deliver high-value experiences to our customers, and the work we are doing with our partners, are driving strong results and positioning us well for long-term growth.”
Not too long ago Microsoft announced that it had sold over 3 million Xbox Ones in 2013. Now that the company has released its latest financial statement, we have a much better idea of exactly how many big black boxes were moved throughout the holiday season.
