Are you a fan of e-Sports? Or perhaps you partake in the gaming tournaments? Either way, looks like you’re getting an Xbox One, as the League has announced that all online 2K and 5K Call of Duty: Ghosts Tournaments, run by MLG or UMG, will be moving to Xbox One as the default console. Looking forward, this will also translate to future tournaments of multi-platform games being played on Xbox One.
It was also announced that this week would be the last time that the Xbox 360 Ghosts Ladders would impact the Pro Points Rankings. Those released on July 15 (North America) and July 17th (Europe) will be the first ti be incorporated into the Xbox One Ghosts Ladders. Updated rules for all 2K and 5K Tournaments will be posted at a later date.
So if you’re a fan of MLG, or if you’re a pro yourself, it’s time to either make the upgrade, or make the switch! Let us know what these changes mean to you (if anything) in the comments below! The Xbox 360 was the default platform for the entire life of the Xbox 360, so it is only logical that it would stay with Xbox going forward, but it brings a smile to my face for it to be official.
