The second piece of downloadable content for Activision’s Call of Duty: Ghosts might have an invisible stowaway lurking inside its software. Set to hit Xbox One and Xbox 360 on April 3, the Devastation DLC pack may have a guest appearance by the Predator, the title character from a series of films about an alien sportsman that hunts creatures from Earth and various other planets.
Infinity Ward has yet to make an official announcement but the developer posted a short video on Instagram today that revealed a stealthy new Call of Duty character using the alien’s familiar blurred camouflage. In addition to this new mystery creature, the video’s settings are very similar to the first Predator film’s Central American locale. Also, if you listen very carefully the Predator’s gurgling sound accompanied by its signature roar can be heard during the brief video.
Still not convinced? Well how about this: the video’s posting featured the caption ”If it bleeds…” An obvious play on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s famous line: “if it bleeds, we can kill it.”
This wouldn’t be the first time the Call of Duty franchise borrowed one of Hollywood’s big bads. Ghosts’ Onslaught features an appearance from the fictional serial killer Michael Myers of the Halloween film series. Devastation features four new maps (Behemoth, Collision, Ruins and Unearthed) and will be available to Ghosts season pass holders or sold separately as a standalone purchase for $15.
