Remember those old Xbox One policies that required a daily internet check-in? The ones that some people freaked out about. Yeah, we miss them too. Okay, maybe not completely, but we do miss somethings about Microsoft’s original game plan.

It’s been a little over three weeks since the Xbox One’s release and while the console has seen its share of success, we can’t help but wonder how things would be going if the console’s old policies had stayed around. Hard to tell, but one thing really did stand out, the need for a daily check-in with Microsoft’s servers.

So far the folks here haven’t experienced any technical difficulties that would result in a system lockout, but that doesn’t mean things have been nice and easy for everyone else.
