Capcom announced today that Dead Rising 3 sales have surpassed one million copies within its first month. This milestone was reached between November 22nd and December 20th.
The game’s predecessor, Dead Rising 2 hit one million copies sold within its first month, but launched simultaneously across the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, while Dead Rising 3 is exclusive to just the Xbox One.
Capcom recently released an unprecedented mandatory 13GB title update for its sandbox survival horror game that introduces a laundry list of fixes, along with content from DR3′s new DLC pack. This means that around 13 million gigabytes of data will eventually be downloaded by Dead Rising 3 players alone. To put things in perspective, that’s roughly the capacity of 26,000 Xbox One stock hard drives.
