Today is Bungie Day, and as we have come to expect over the past several years, this is usually the day that the pervious Halo-turned-Destiny developer announces new products, product details, or just continues making badass games. Today we are met with new product details regarding Destiny’s Xbox beta, the alternate retail SKUs, and a new shiny trailer!
Regarding the beta, Xbox One and Xbox 360 players will (finally) be able to sink their claws into Destiny beginning on July 23rd. There’s no set closing date, but players will have access until at least the 26th, where everyone who partakes in “Beta Rally Day” will receive a “special reward” for helping Bungie weed out their bugs. What this reward is remains unknown, but it’s presumably going to be carrying over to the final release. Players will be able to experience a chunk of the campaign, team up with your [no-doubt already assembled] fireteam and dive into some dungeons, or battle head-to-head in the competitive multiplayer.
