Today’s software patch for Battlefield 4 has been delayed for the Xbox One version of EA’s popular military-themed first-person shooter, developer DICE confirmed today. The studio didn’t provide any specific details regarding why the Xbox One’s title update was delayed and didn’t follow up with a new release date, however the PlayStation 4 version of the game will receive the patch as planned.

“We have rescheduled the Xbox One March 25 game update, and will get back to you when we have more information,” a post from a DICE rep stated in a blog post. “Thank you for your patience!”

When the Xbox One’s version of Battlefield 4 does receive the patch, it will focus on fixing familiar issues, such as stability and crashes that occur during different in-game situations.

Since its release, Battlefield 4 has been hit with technical challenges across multiple platforms that has resulted in a class action lawsuit against Electronic Arts with investors claiming that the company was aware of the game’s bugs, but pushed forward in order to meet sales goals.

Hopefully EA will have a status update for Xbox One gamers sooner than later.
