The Xbox One’s stereo headset adapter has been a godsend to gamers who invested in an expensive third-party audio solution, however Microsoft’s new accessory hasn’t been without its flaws. Some people have been experiencing audio playback issues when using the chat adapter with their headset. Microsoft said it was looking into the situation, but the folks at Astro have taken a proactive approach by releasing a new firmware update for some of its products.
Gamers who own the A50 and A40+MixAmp Pro can now download a new software patch that should hopefully resolve any compatibility issues with the Xbox One’s audio adapter.
If you happen to own one of these headsets, here’s a look at what you’ll get with this new firmware:
- Reduce the mic volume and destroy static.
- Optimize side tone tuning for new mic levels.
- Fix sidetone bug on Xbox mode boot.
- Increase overall compatibility with the Xbox One Stereo Chat Adapter.
