Last month, Microsoft announced that MLB.TV was coming to the Xbox One sometime this spring and making good on its word today the company confirmed that the app will be available on Opening Day. As a bit of a refresher, MLB.TV streams live Major League Baseball games over multiple devices, including smartphones, tablets and computers allowing sports fans to keep up with their favorite teams, despite whatever local television broadcasts may be showing.
The service offers two payment options: $25 per month, which adds up to $300 annually or an upfront reduced price of $130 for a full year. Like most Xbox apps, MLB.TV is behind a paywall, so you’ll need an Xbox Live Gold subscription as well.
If you setup and budget meet the aforementioned criteria, you can sign up here to have your account ready for Opening Day.
