Earlier today, Microsoft announced that it had sold over 3 million Xbox Ones in 2013. In addition to that, the company referenced some games that it was excited about over the course of 2014, but absent from its list was a new Halo game. This caused some people to wonder if the title had been delayed or overlooked, even though Microsoft has publicly confirmed that its newest Halo title would release sometime this year.

In an effort to calm consumer concerns, Microsoft PR manager Rob Semsey reaffirmed on Twitter that a new Halo game would be happening in 2014.

So there you have it folks. Halo is still happening in 2014. Now if only we could get an official name and release date for the Master Chief’s latest adventure.
