The Xbox One has already passed 2 million units sold and according to Baird market analyst Colin Sebastian, around 33,000 of that sales figure came from eBay.

The analyst estimates that Sony’s PlayStation 4 has sold around 65,000 units on the online auction site, giving it a near 2-to-1 edge over the Xbox One. It should be noted that Microsoft has managed to frequently restock several of its retail partners’ inventory, keeping its new console available consumers at several brick and mortar locations.

On the other hand, Sony is currently having trouble keeping up with consumer demand for its PlayStation 4, which may be forcing consumers to explore other purchasing options like eBay, even if the console is priced at a slight markup.
