Despite the record-breaking successes of Grand Theft Auto V, there has been one consistent question on many gamers’ minds: will we see GTA V on Xbox One and PS4?
Rockstar Games has yet to officially announce any plans to bring the stories of Franklin, Michael and Trevor to Microsoft’s and Sony’s new hardware, but there are whispers that the team is working on just that.
In a recent interview on Opie & Anthony’s SiriusXM program, Lazlow from Rockstar Games was asked whether or not we’d be seeing GTA V coming to the Xbox One. After the typical run-around “we haven’t announced anything” response, Lazlow does seem to suggest that Rockstar has something in the works for the platform, as he went on to say that “obviously every video game developer’s got games in progress for those consoles.” He also noted that they’ve had Xbox One and PS4 dev kits for around two years.
As Lazlow rambled on, the broadcasters attempted to elicit a confirmation out of him, but, seemingly, to no avail.
So, while there’s still no official word as to whether or not we’ll be playing Grand Theft Auto V on our Xbox Ones, hope remains, as there’s also yet to be an official denial regarding Rockstar’s possible involvement with Sony and Microsoft’s shiny new hardware.
