Currently, third-party headsets like Astros, Turtle Beaches and Trittons don’t play nice with the Xbox One, but a willful modder armed with a soldering iron has found a workaround.
The procedure isn’t too hairy for a set of experienced hands, however we caution that it isn’t exactly for noobs either. The contraption’s creator says that it took him about 15 minutes to complete and that all he did was open the headset connector, de-soldered the standard headset and soldered a 3.5 mm jack cable in its place.
If waiting isn’t your strong suit and you have the intestinal fortitude to taken on such a project, head on over to the source like for a closer look at the entire process.
