When Phil Spencer said more news was coming before E3, I don’t think any of us expected it to be a Gamescom announcement – much less a Quantum Break gameplay reveal announcement – but that’s exactly what we got.

Many, myself included, expected Quantum Break to be a major feature of Microsoft’s upcoming E3 presentation, as this is one of the most anticipated titles coming to the Xbox One, but turns out that is not the case. Instead, we will be getting our first glances of Remedy’s project’s first gameplay segments later this August at Gamescom 2014.

Along side the announcement, we also got a release window – 2015. Considering how this is a Remedy game, I guess we should count our blessings and be thankful it isn’t a 2016+ title.
