If Microsoft’s announcement from yesterday didn’t spell it out clear enough, we find ourselves on the threshold of my favorite time of the year – E3 Month. And as the conclusion of that E3 Month draws nearer, the teases and anticipation too reach a fever pitch. Things start out small, like announcing the times and dates of your conference, but when we start playing the numbers game, things start to really set in. This year, EA is the first to take that step, as they announced today just how many new games they’d be packing into their 60 minute conference.
As it currently stands, EA isn’t giving any details as to which titles will be making an appearance, but if you remember back to last year, it’s safe to assume that one of those titles is probably Mass Effect 4. We know to be pretty far along in development over at BioWare Montreal, and it is currently slated for a 2014 release.
Another one of the six could be Visceral’s new Star Wars game, which has recently acquired a lot of ex-Naughty Dog talent. EA has already stated that there won’t be a new Need For Speed this year, so we can cross that one off the list. I’ve got a whisper in the back of my mind telling me that they’ll just be more FIFA and Madden games, but we’ll just have to wait and see on this one!
Last year EA announced Mirror’s Edge 2, Star Wars Battlefront, and Dragon Age: Inquisition, as well as Battlefield 4 and their yearly EA Sports installments. Any hopes for this year? Let us know below!
