Bethesda’s parent company files multiple Fallout-related trademarks

Nuka Cola

As spotted by vigilant NeoGAF user Rösti, Bethesda’s parent company ZeniMax Media has filed multiple trademarks for “Nuka Cola” under the identification of computer games software for use with computers and video game consoles, clothing, and entertainment services, suggesting that a new Fallout game is gearing up.

The trademarks in question were filed on the 11th of April, and are detailed as follows:

“Computer game software for use with computers and video game consoles; downloadable computer game software offered via the internet and wireless devices; computer game software for use with on-line interactive games”

“Clothing, namely, shirts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, headwear, namely hats; footwear, namely shoes and sneakers; jackets, fleece pullovers, pants, sweatpants, jeans”

“Entertainment services, namely, providing on-line interactive computer games; entertainment services, namely, providing information and entertainment relating to electronic computer games via the Internet”

Alleged “casting documents” for a new Fallout appeared online in December. However, Skyrim game director Todd Howard has previously suggested that it’ll be a while before his team’s next project goes public.

“We don’t [have a timeframe for our next game announcement], but I think it’s gonna be a while. We’ve gotten fairly used to all the questions and curiosity over the years. Everyone wants information. Right now, we’re just trying to figure out which of our ideas are going to stick and finding an appropriate time to talk about it.”

What about you? Are you holding on to any hopes that there’s an inclement Fallout announcement? Or should we bunker down for a few years while we wait for Howard to reveal anything?
